Electoral College vs. Popular Vote

Initial thought. We The People is We The Popular Vote. This is where each vote matters. This doesn't mean representatives deciding for the majorities who clearly vote a certain direction for the nation.

We The People vs. Electoral College

When millions of people tell America "this is the way we want to go", why should some representatives or delegates somewhere get to decide for these millions of people or the entire nation?

President elected by some institution? No. Why? Because that isn't We The People.

So why not the electoral college?

Money. The electoral college is far favorable to power and money influence. It is for major parties and money and power. These things decide, other than We The People directly. This kind of "far favorable" is actually an immense and wide chasm of difference. The popular vote of We The People alternatively, does not get effected by these influences to the massive degree that the electoral college does.

Imagine a land where candidates can go to unfavorable states where they didn't usually stand any chance. Imagine being able to reach the individual there, as if they mattered. This is regard for the individual's vote and the popular one collectively.

My Own Example

My position. I feel having We The People decide directly is the right way to go.

The college is a system where individual votes do not matter during many occasions.

I've simply skipped voting at least once or twice in the Presidential Elections. Here's the reason why. It did not matter. Having a state already 58% or 70% closed for some candidate, with being the election day, it did not matter. Better to save time and do whatever else. Many states go a certain way each four years.

My strategy is better. Wait it out, see what why the state goes, and on the final day of voting, decide if it's worth it heading out to vote. It is a strategy that has worked, as it preserves nicely.

You see, it's state over the individual with the electoral college.

I was the Republican dream candidate, left forever after 2016. That has placed me in an extremely precarious position. Because of the current system, things are even tougher. With God, many things are possible though.

We The People Instead

With We The People's popular vote, great chances open up and opportunities and future possibilites. Minor parties, third-tier parties, no parties, and the private individual. This a land then made... where every vote, every individual's voice in the country matters. Currently, this is not what America has.

I am enthralled at the possibilities.

If I'm President ever, this issue may be brought before We The People. Then we can decide together the way to go forward. We can go over pros and cons, differences, and consequences.

Once again, I favor having We The People decide, not some elected few in region after region.
